Over there, no, over there, no..

advertisement

It's now elevenish here in EST and the tracker is down. If you want a place to go each time your tracker is off track, here it is.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

11/2/07 Down again. And it was going so fine for a while. What is the problem and why so hard to fix? Can MSNBC throw some money at this?

Maybe it's not down. Maybe it's an algorithm.

More like an algorithm of insanity.

Seems like tracking and comment editing are broke at the same time, and usually in the mid-morning, CST.

Maybe it's slipping out for coffee and donuts?

Haha, this is funny.

For a second, I thought you'd made some cool tool to track the tracker. But, this is good too.

How much track could the tracker track if the tracker could track track?

Do we have anyone who can put a GPS on the tracker? That ought to track the tracker, alright.

As a last resort we could bribe it with a Starbucks triple shot and some Krispy Kreme donuts.

12:30 am. Do you know where your tracker is? No, but I'm pretty sure it's down.

11/12/2007 - 9:45AM CST -- tracker isn't working for me. Not that you'll see this until the tracker is fixed.
